A City Where You Can See The Ocean

Seriously, I never thought that Balikpapan was this big. When I agreed to take the position I thought I would have to move on to a small-remote-isolated town somewhere in East Kalimantan.

But I instantly knew I was wrong when I first arrived.

International airport, 5 stars hotel, tall buildings all around.. It has any requirement a city should have, and I can say it’s still growing, fast. Somehow I started to like the idea of living here. *but then I was told that this city doesn’t have a 21 theater yet, dooh*

But what amused me most was, I can see the ocean along the way, blue ocean. And ocean always gives me this earthy feeling that somehow comforts me. So I kept staring to the ocean along the way from airport to my new residence.

Oh my, new residence.

New place to live in.

New friends.

New people.

New jobs to do.

And a new blog.

This blog.
